I've just returned from the boathouse and been reminded of this tomorrow by Dave. He also thrust a fine bottle of wine at me.......a Christmas present from the wonderful 'Phyll Cleare', a consummate supporter of the RNLI and their crews. Not only did Phyll buy us our recent ILB in memory of her husband Jack, she also bought our last one and both of Weymouth's current boats! Each Christmas she sends each crewman on each of her boats a bottle. Quite extraordinary generosity I think you'll agree.Remember, it matters not how brave and ready the Crews are, without the little girl selling flags on a street corner, no lifeboat would go to sea.
