My apologies that posts have been a bit infrequent lately. The family and I have been on a UK wide tour of the family (yes, even Lifeboatmen get holidays!) We have spent the last two days in Whitby at my parent's guest house. It is a truly lovely spot next to the Esk river, but unfortunately is bit of a communications black spot..........Little has been happening in my lifeboating world though I did take a short trip down into town to see the progress of the new Whitby Lifeboat house. They are fortunate in that they are getting a new state of the art crew facility which is due for completion in the spring. It looks fantastic and in the meantime it is business as usual for them (though a quiet Christmas thankfully).
