To get you started here's a shot of the ILB 'veering in' near the lighthouse. This procedure involves anchoring the boat, then using the engine in reverse to drive the boat backwards as the anchor line is released. This gives a great deal of control and is particularly useful when the boat is near cliffs........something we do lots of.
Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?
Remember how she said that
We would meet again
Some sunny day?
Vera! Vera!
What has become of you?
Does anybody else in here
Feel the way I do?
(Pink Floyd - Vera)

I have to say when you are doing some research on pictures of Vera Lynn the last thing you expect to pop up infront of you on google is a picture of a previous teacher! Over the last few years, with the loss of friends from our school, the work that the RNLI does for the area and the rest of the country has become more and more apparent. Keep on fighting what may seem to you as a losing battle, because it means everything to someone else and their family. Thank you guys x
Well, we like to suprise you!
Hope you are well(whoever you are?) and that you keep on reading. It's certainly nice to be remembered by past students, particularly when they are as articulate as you!
Best wishes
